Applications for Exchange Students

Ventspils University of Applied Sciences welcomes all incoming exchange students and staff to spend the most beautiful time ever in Ventspils!

Erasmus+ program is the most extensive exchange student program in the EU. Erasmus students can apply for study and traineeship to 33 programme countries of Europe and spend a maximum of 12 months abroad per study cycle. Of the 12 months, students spend 3-12 months abroad at a partner university to study or spend 2-12 months at a private or public organization active in the labour market to do an internship.

Benefits for Erasmus students

Students get the same right as the host university students.
Host universities will not charge students tuition fees.
Home universities recognize courses that students have completed at the host university and include them in students’ diploma supplement.

Exchange students should first get approval from their home university for their planned exchange. After receiving the home university’s confirmation, students can apply e-mail to erasmus@venta.lv

The application deadlines for exchange studies are

Autumn Semester (September - January) Deadline to apply - JULY
Spring Semester (February - June) Deadline to apply - NOVEMBER

HOW TO NOMINATE A STUDENT FOR STUDIES (for partner universities):

Please send your Erasmus+ nominees with the necessary information to the following email: erasmus@venta.lv

Nomination email should include the following information about the student:

Name and surname (as in passport or ID);
Email address;
Field of study;
Study level (BA, MA, PhD) and the study year (2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc.);
Nomination period (Autumn, Spring, or the whole year).

Exchange students should first get approval from their home university for their planned exchange. After receiving the home university confirmation, students can apply by e-mail to erasmus@venta.lv

Student's application e-mail must include these documents in English:

Transcript of Records ( from the home university, in English);
Nomination Letter from home university (if the nomination is not sent by email before);
Learning Agreement (signed by the student and the sending university)
Proof of B1 English proficiency;
Copy of passport.
