Translation, Interpreting and Language Technology [Only in Latvian]

During the studies, it is possible to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for a translator, interpreter, translation project manager, proofreader, reviewer, and other language specialist to provide translation and language services to various companies, organisations, and national and international institutions.

DEGREE TO BE OBTAINED – Professional bachelor's degree in translation

QUALIFICATION –  Translator, interpreter

DURATION OF STUDIES –  4 years

STUDY FORM –  Full-time

LANGUAGE OF STUDIES –  Latvian

First foreign language – English, second foreign language – German or Russian, third foreign language – Spanish or French

Type and form of study implementation


These are full-time on-site studies, and lecture materials are also available digitally on a special learning platform. In four years, students develop and strengthen their theoretical knowledge, as well as improve their skills that are tested in a real work environment in internship during the autumn semester of the last study year. Examination session takes place twice a year – in January and June.
