Ethical Standards and Academic Integrity

Academic personnel and students at VUAS follow strict ethical standards throughout their academic work. Academic integrity is noted as one of the core values in VUAS Strategy. The Regulations of VUAS regulations reinforce this commitment:

The purpose of the Regulationsis to strengthen the academic culture and understanding of academic integrity and its observance at VUAS and to prevent breaches thereof. The Regulations are binding on all VUAS staff, including administrative and academic staff and students. In explaining academic integrity and related conduct, the most common breaches of the principles of academic integrity in the academic environment and the responsibilities of the students, academic and general staff of the VUAS to prevent academic dishonesty are listed.

The Regulations clearly defines unacceptable practices, such as breaching professional research ethics, allowing conflicts of interest, falsifying or misrepresenting data, discriminating against participants, ignoring voluntary consent or confidentiality, misleading participants, and committing plagiarism.

The Ethics Committee is responsible for overseeing compliance with these principles, helping to ensure that research at VUAS is conducted with transparency, respect, and accountability.
