Terms and Conditions

Ventspils University of Applied Sciences offers students and other interested parties the opportunity to make online payments using payment cards, ensuring a convenient, fast, and secure transaction process for the following services:

  • Tuition or registration fees;
  • Fees for individual courses, trainings, or certification exams;
  • Administrative service charges (e.g., issuance of documents, duplicate certificates, etc.).


Payment Processing:

All payments are processed in a secure environment using the Swedbank card payment platform, which complies with all international data protection and payment security standards (PCI DSS). Payments can be made using VISA, MasterCard, and Maestro cards.


After completing the payment, users will receive an automatic confirmation email. Please retain the payment confirmation as proof of transaction.

Important:

  • By making a payment, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms and conditions.
  • A payment does not guarantee service delivery until it has been fully approved by Ventspils University of Applied Sciences.
     

Delivery Terms

As the services provided are non-material (educational and administrative services), "delivery" takes place in the following manner:

  • For study or course services: a registration confirmation is sent to the email address provided, and access to the materials is granted within the specified timeframe.
  • For document issuance or other administrative services: the service is provided within a pre-defined deadline, as stated in the service description.


If you experience technical issues with access or have not received a confirmation, please contact the University immediately.


Refund Policy

Ventspils University of Applied Sciences applies a reasonable and transparent refund policy in accordance with consumer rights protection legislation and good practice standards.
 

Refunds are possible in the following cases:

  • Student-initiated cancellation: If the user withdraws from the service no later than 14 calendar days after payment and submits a written request along with confirmation that the service has not been used (e.g., studies not started, course materials not accessed).
  • Service unavailability or technical error: If the service is not provided due to technical or organizational reasons attributable to the University, the full amount will be refunded to the original payment account.
  • Incorrect or mistaken payment: If a payment was made in error (e.g., incorrect amount or duplicate transaction), a partial or full refund may be requested by submitting a written explanation.


Refunds will be processed:

  • Only to the same account from which the original payment was made;
  • No later than 14 business days after the refund request has been reviewed and approved.


Refunds will not be granted if:

  • The service has already been provided or initiated;
  • The user has violated internal regulations of Ventspils University of Applied Sciences;
  • Other objective circumstances have occurred that release the University from the obligation to refund the payment.
