COURSE DESCRIPTION

In the course students learn about basic principles of creative entrepreneurship, acquire definitions and explanations of the main terms and concepts, learn principles of creating business canvas as well as acquire knowledge about creative and design thinking. Communication plays the major role in development of successful creative entrepreneurship; therefore, the importance of communication and leadership is included almost in all topics of the course. During the course students will evaluate and analyze different types and models of innovation used in creative entrepreneurship as well as learn about the role of social media and marketing in business and communication.

CONTENT

1. Entrepreneur and entrepreneurship – definitions and characteristics. Entrepreneur, motivation and creativity. Business model canvas for creative entrepreneurs. Value proposition for creative entrepreneurs. Importance of communication.
2. Business model innovation theory. Product and service innovation. Start-ups, innovation and creativity. Technology innovation.
3. Marketing for creative industries. Role of social media.
4. Creative thinking. Design thinking.
5. Crowdfunding in creative entrepreneurship. Sustainable innovation and innovation risks.
6. Mentoring for entrepreneurs in creative entrepreneurship.
