COURSE DESCRIPTION

The course provides the student with a basic knowledge of the general and international foundations of commercial law and its application in the working environment. At the end of the course, the student is familiar with the rights and obligations of entrepreneurs, employees and consumers from various aspects and is able to argue for the violation or non-fulfilment of these rights or responsibilities.

CONTENT

1. General commercial law, an introduction. Applicable legal principles, applicability and sources of commercial law
2. The impact/linkage of commercial law in public and private law institutions
3. Business, commercial relations. Subjects of law in commercial relations. The trader and the commercial register
4. Forms of commercial activity, their concepts and meaning. Property in commercial relations
5. Obligation law and commercial law. Transaction, parties, subject matter, form and components. Commercial transactions. Insolvency proceedings
6. International commercial law
