The course is aimed at non-electrical students. The course introduces the basic laws of DC electric circuits and the calculation methods for simple circuits. The main part of the course is an introduction to the fundamentals of semiconductor electronics. Students are given a basic understanding of semiconductor materials and their electrical properties, as well as the main semiconductor devices - diodes, transistors. The use of these semiconductor devices in analogue and digital electronics is covered. Knowledge is reinforced by experiments and measurements in the laboratory.
1. Electrical fundamentals of electronics. Calculations of DC electric circuits, Ohm's, Kirchhoff's laws
2. Semiconductor materials, their properties, current in semiconductors
3. Semiconductor diodes
4. Bipolar transistors, their circuit types, properties
5. Field-effect transistors
6. Operational amplifiers, their applications, basic circuits
7. Digital electronics circuits - logic elements, triggers, memory elements
