Academic Writing II

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is designed to support students during the writing of their bachelor’s thesis, with a particular focus on completing the research by the end of the semester.

CONTENT

1. Defining “scientific research.” Organizing research.
2. Research questions: types and characteristics
3. Research Planning: Data Collection and Analysis
4. Qualitative, descriptive, and experimental research. Quantitative and qualitative research.
5. Literature review: citing, paraphrasing, and summarizing.
6. Literature review: primary and secondary sources.
7. Structure of the study: theoretical and practical sections.
8. Reviewing a scientific study. Presentation of results. Defense of the study.
