International Ventspils Combat Robotics Hackathon “Combat Robotics” and

Robotics Championship 2025

From March 21 to 23, 2025, the International Ventspils Combat Robotics Hackathon “Combat Robotics” will take place for the first time, followed by the Ventspils Robotics Championship on March 22, which is one of the stages of the Latvian Robotics Championship. The event will be hosted at Ventspils University of Applied Sciences, welcoming robotics enthusiasts and curious spectators to join this exciting occasion.


The hackathon’s goal is to promote robotics and inspire students, youth, and adults to explore the field of engineering. It offers participants a unique opportunity to test their technical knowledge and skills by designing and building a fully functional combat robot in a short period of time. Participants will also be able to get inspiration and exchange ideas with other robotics enthusiasts and experts.

Over three exciting days, teams will

Develop their combat robots

Present their robots to a jury

Compete in a specially designed arena with eligible robots

Hackathon winners will receive valuable prizes from event sponsors.

During the event, photography and filming will take place. By registering and participating, attendees agree to the use of this material for marketing purposes.


Participants will also have access to a preparation area for getting their robots ready for the competition.
