The New Study Year Will Begin at Ventspils University of Applied Sciences

At Ventspils University of Applied Sciences (VUAS) on the 1st of September, the new study year will begin with a formal event in the VUAS garden at 13:00. Both first-year students and older course students are welcomed to participate in the event so that together we can mark the start of a new academic year.

 

During the event student of VUAS will be congratulated by the University rector Ph.D. Kārlis Krēsliņš, Ventspils City Council President Jānis Vītoliņš, deans of VUAS faculties and lecturers. The celebratory matriculation ceremony will be accompanied by live music and a celebration cake.

To get to know their new classmates and Ventspils, first-year students are invited to take part in the Freshmen Go organized by the VUAS Student Council the day before the start of the academic year – on the 31st of August at 14.00. The event will start in the VUAS garden and continue with a tour of the VUAS premises and the city of Ventspils.
