We invite academic staff to register for the conference on the outflow of educated labor from the region
On November 24 at 11:00 AM, the Erasmus+ project ENDORSE (Enhancing Development of Entrepreneurial Strategies at University Locations Affected by Brain Drain) will host an online conference titled “Stop the Brain Drain!” All academic staff from higher education institutions in Latvia, as well as representatives of businesses and municipalities, are invited to participate.
The conference will present the developed teaching materials and study courses created to encourage students to become entrepreneurs.
All project participants will take part in the international conference — university representatives from Austria, Germany, Poland, Greece, Sweden, and Latvia. Additionally, all lecturers from higher education institutions and entrepreneurs from both Ventspils and other cities in Latvia are invited to join the discussion on how to develop entrepreneurial skills in students.
The conference will consist of three parts:
- 11:00–11:40 – Presentation on the ENDORSE project’s teaching concept
- 11:40–12:30 – Discussions and feedback on the applicability of the teaching concept
- 12:40–13:00 – Closing and summary

Within the Erasmus+ project ENDORSE, Ventspils University of Applied Sciences is collaborating with universities from Austria, Germany, Poland, Greece, and Sweden to seek solutions to prevent the outflow of intellectual labor from the regions.
