Project Acronym: VIPs

Project Objective: To establish and implement a sustainable support system that:

Strengthens the innovation skills and entrepreneurship of young people in Vidzeme during their studies or educational process,

Promotes collaboration between Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences and students with industry and entrepreneurs,

Facilitates the development of practical solutions to challenges posed by society and businesses.

Planned Activities in the Project:

• Project management and supervision;
• Engagement and motivation of students;
• Establishment and maintenance of an idea bank and attraction of private funding;
• Formation and facilitation of teams;
• Formulation of ideas and projects, team formation;
• Innovation laboratory (I-LAB);
• Business laboratory (B-LAB);
• Promotion of the program and dissemination of results;
• Organization of demo days;
• Project publicity.

Project Implementation Period: January 03, 2022 - October 31, 2023 (22 months)

Total Project Costs: EUR 999,923.69, including ERDF funding of EUR 839,935.90 and co-financing from commercial entities of EUR 159,987.79.

Project Target Audience: ViA students, students of Vidzeme vocational education institutions, and students from the final grades of general education institutions in Vidzeme, as well as students from partner universities.
