COURSE DESCRIPTION

The course is designed to enable students to learn the concept of leadership, the functions of leadership and to be able to independently solve management challenges in a dynamically changing environment, to be familiar with team needs and to be able to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge in practice in business and public institutions.

1. Leadership basic concepts. Management Functions. Leadership versus Management. Role of Leading
2. How? What? Why? Team Creation, values, goals and tasks of a good team
3. Leadership intelligences, organizational structure and its impact on the leading process, Roles of the Team
4. Methods of leading, Team Leadership models, Skill and Quality Profile of the Team Leader, performance measures
5. Different levels of economic environment (mundo, macro, meso, micro) and role of the leader and team in every level
6. Team leadership, meaning of team engagement and team spirit in VUCA world, stages of team development
7. Different Leadership and motivation theories and apply them into practice
8. Communication within team and importance of feedback, reflection
