International Alternative Fuels Hackathon will take place
The Alternative Fuels Hackathon offers a unique opportunity for students, entrepreneurs, and sustainability enthusiasts to develop innovative ideas within 48 hours aimed at making ports more environmentally friendly through the use of alternative fuels and smarter with intelligent mobility solutions.
From December 8 to 10, Ventspils will host the Alternative Fuels Hackathon, bringing together some of the brightest minds from the Baltic Sea region to make ports greener and more modern. The event will be held in a hybrid format, allowing participants to join in person at the Ventspils University of Applied Sciences or online, providing flexibility for all attendees.
Participation is free, and teams will have the chance to compete for cash prizes totaling €1,500.
During the Alternative Fuels Hackathon, participants will work on their solutions with the support of industry mentors, helping them create practical and creative outcomes. The event is open to anyone ready to take on challenges and drive innovation. Register now to secure your spot!
Individual registration is also available, and team formation will take place on the first day of the event, December 8. The day will kick off with team building, challenge selection, and the first brainstorming session.
On the second and third days, teams will develop and refine their ideas with the guidance and support of experienced mentors. On the afternoon of the final day, participants will present their ideas to a panel of judges, who will evaluate the solutions based on creativity, feasibility, and impact.
