Seminar on Best Practices in Governance and Change Management Held at VUAS

On November 28 at 10:30 AM, Ventspils University of Applied Sciences (VUAS) hosted a seminar titled “Best Practices in Governance and Change Management at Ventspils University of Applied Sciences.” The event featured representatives from the Ventspils City Council, VUAS, and the Latvian Information and Communication Technology Association (LIKTA).
The seminar began with a presentation by Jānis Vītoliņš, Chair of the Ventspils City Council, who discussed the collaborative role of the Ventspils Municipality and VUAS in driving regional development and fostering a supportive business environment.
Participants also heard from:
- Kristaps Klauss, Chair of the VUAS Council,
- Andris Vaivads, Rector of VUAS,
- Una Libkovska, VUAS Vice-Rector for Studies, and
- Signe Bāliņa, President of LIKTA.
The seminar was organized as part of the European Social Fund project, “Enhancing the Content Quality of Ventspils University of Applied Sciences Study Programs, Improving Resource Efficiency, and Ensuring Better Governance” (ID No. 8.2.3.0/18/A/014).
With this seminar, the university marked the conclusion of the project’s five-year implementation. The project’s main objectives were to enhance the quality of VUAS study program content, improve governance in higher education institutions through effective resource utilization, and strengthen the competencies and skills of management personnel.
