From June 14 to June 16, the Business Academy Bootcamp 2024 took place at Ventspils University of Applied Sciences (VUAS)—a three-day camp organized by students of the bachelor’s program "Startup Management." The event welcomed 19 participants—potential "Startup Management" students from across Latvia. Over three days, these young individuals had the opportunity to explore the university, its programs, student life, and the city of Ventspils.
The event was organized by the student agency "BASAFUL" of the "Startup Management" program, with financial support from the Ventspils Cultural Centre. The primary goal was to provide participants with hands-on experience in business, technology, and startup creation, while also strengthening their teamwork and problem-solving skills. During the camp, participants worked in teams to address various problem scenarios, presenting their solutions to a jury at the camp's conclusion. The jury included the program director, mentors, and senior students.
The program featured inspiring lecturers and mentors, including:
Additionally, "Startup Management" students Ralfs Roga, Alise Plotova, and Anna Fiļipenoka shared their study experiences and led workshops on problem analysis and emotional intelligence.
Participants described the camp as both challenging and valuable, offering a fresh perspective on study opportunities at VUAS. Many noted that the "Startup Management" program has become a top choice for their university applications. They appreciated the personalized approach and the opportunity to build closer connections with students and faculty.
