Ventspils University College has signed a cooperation agreement with the Academic Information Center on cooperation in the implementation of the ESF project “Support to the fulfillment of the requirements set for the EQAR agency”.

The aim of the project is to provide support to the Agency for the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR), including quality improvement and capacity building. After the implementation of the project, the Latvian higher education quality assurance system will function in accordance with the requirements of the ESG (European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance), the agency will be a member of EQAR, which will increase the credibility of Latvian higher education and diplomas. A high-quality higher education evaluation system will, in the long run, ensure a competitive education in the European Higher Education Area and the preparation of knowledgeable, highly qualified specialists for the labor market.

• Accreditation agency strategy development and quality management system improvement
• Pilot accreditation implementation in 12 higher education institutions
• Ecreditation agency external expertiseE-platform development for accreditation process and higher education quality monitoring
• Training and seminars on external and internal quality assurance issues
• Participation in European associations and other international quality assurance organizations
