Brief Qualitative Description and Aim of the Project
The aim of the project is to modernize five study programs in the field of "Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Control, and Computer Science" at Ventspils University College:
- Bachelor's degree program in "Computer Science";
- Master's degree program in "Computer Science";
- Bachelor's degree program in "Electronics";
- Professional master's degree program in "Electronics";
- Professional bachelor's degree program in "Ship Navigation Electronics".
Additionally, the project aims to develop laboratory and classroom infrastructure, including access for people with mobility impairments, ensure the availability of necessary technologies in study programs, and implement necessary information and communication technology solutions for the university. This will provide a modern study process and meet labor market requirements, giving students the opportunity to work with the latest technologies and gain as much practical experience as possible. The project aims to attract more students from Ventspils, the Kurzeme region, Latvia, and other countries.
Main Project Activities:
As a result of the project, all study programs in the field of "Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Control, and Computer Science" at Ventspils University of Applied Sciences will be modernized.
