33 Students from Portugal, Cyprus and Slovakia Visit Ventspils University of Applied Sciences

On 26th of April, in cooperation with Ventspils Secondary School Nr. 6, Ventspils University of Applied Sciences hosted 33 highschool students from Cyprus, Slovakia and Portugal. During the excursion, they had the opportunity to learn more about Ventspils University of Applied Sciences and study opportunities, as well as to work hands-on in the electronics laboratories.


The students arrived at Ventspils University of Applied Sciences on the afternoon of 26th of April, where they were introduced to the university and the available study programmes in English – "Intercultural Communication", "Business Administration", "Computer Science" and "Start-up Management". Later, they toured the premises of the university, exploring the auditoriums, the library and even going to the rooftop radio station, as well as accompanied by students of electronic engineering they had the opportunity to work hands-on in the laboratories of Ventspils University of Applied Sciences, where they had the chance to try soldering with a soldering iron and creating a small light object.


These 33 students came to Latvia because of an Erasmus+ project at Ventspils Secondary School Nr. 6. Thanks to this project they spent 5 days getting to know Ventspils, including the university.
