Work has begun on the project to provide digital infrastructure and laboratory equipment
Work continues at Ventspils University of Applied Sciences on the implementation of the project “Modernization of the Study Environment at Ventspils University of Applied Sciences”, which aims to improve learning infrastructure and provide a modern environment for the education process. As part of the project, significant preparatory work has already been completed – the first technical specification has been developed, and a procurement procedure for servers and their components will be announced very soon.
Servers and their necessary components are critically important infrastructure for the operations of Ventspils University of Applied Sciences, as they ensure the digital environment for the study process, data storage, and the uninterrupted operation of information systems. Without such a technological foundation, a modern digital university is unimaginable.
At the same time, the project team is actively working on the preparation of upcoming procurement procedures. Technical specifications are currently being developed for the acquisition of laboratory and classroom furniture, as well as various educational equipment intended for laboratory outfitting. These procurements will provide the necessary material and technical base to implement modern and practical learning solutions within the educational institution.
During the implementation of the project, it is planned to gradually provide both digital infrastructure and the learning environment with the necessary equipment, thereby creating high-quality conditions for the study process and promoting the development of modern education.
The total cost of the project “Modernization of the Study Environment at Ventspils University of Applied Sciences”, No. 4.2.1.8/2/25/I/007, is EUR 215,083.00, of which the planned funding from the European Regional Development Fund amounts to 85% of eligible costs – EUR 182,820.55, while state funding amounts to 15% of eligible costs – EUR 32,262.45.
