International Peer Review of Activities Carried Out During the Project
As part of the activities implemented under Project No. 8.2.3.0/18/A/014 titled "Improvement of the Quality of the Content of the Ventspils University of Applied Sciences Study Programme, Improving the Efficiency of the Use of Resources, and Ensuring Better Governance", significant progress has been made at the Ventspils University of Applied Sciences (VUAS). The project has led to improvements in the organizational and management structure, alignment of study programme content with sectoral needs, and the introduction of e-solutions.
To assess the progress and effectiveness of the implemented activities, an international comparative evaluation will be conducted. This evaluation will focus on:
- Assessing the progress of all activities as outlined in the project application.
- Evaluating the compliance of planned and implemented solutions with international trends at comparable foreign higher education institutions.
- Providing recommendations and proposals for further improvement measures.
To facilitate this task, a price survey was conducted, resulting in the selection of Vilda Grybauskienė, an Associate Professor from Lithuania, as the most suitable expert in terms of her experience and qualifications in the field of education.
As a result of this evaluation, VUAS will receive a comprehensive report containing recommendations to support the effective realization of project outcomes. The report will provide guidance on setting new short-, medium-, and long-term objectives to ensure sound and efficient management. These efforts aim to support the development of a quality, research-based, and competitive higher education system that meets modern educational requirements.
